Cliff Fawcett

Cliff comes to Springfield Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Institute from Booth, Bartolozzi, Balderston Orthopaedics at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA., where, in addition to his clinical duties with the practice, Cliff served as the director of sports medicine fellowship education and was the program director for the Philadelphia Sports Medicine Congress.

During his time in Philadelphia, he served on the medical staff of the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers, Phantoms and Kixx. Cliff also served on the medical staff for the X-Games and Women’s World Cup Soccer. He has lectured extensively on various topics in sports medicine.

Cliff began his sports medicine career locally where he served as assistant athletic trainer at Wittenberg University and taught in the sports medicine program at Marietta College.

He obtained his Bachelor's degree in nursing from Cedarville University, his Master's degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Virginia and his Master's of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Delaware.  He is licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has his Athletic Trainer Certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association.

As a nurse practitioner, Cliff focuses on non-operative treatment of orthopaedic conditions and sports injuries. His philosophy is to take care of patients the way he would take care of his family. He recognizes that many patients desire the same aggressive and expeditious treatment as athletes. His desire is to educate his patients so that they are able to make the best choices for themselves.

Cliff resides in Cedarville with his wife Patti and their three children, Andrew, Ben and Madelyn.  He enjoys NASCAR,  kayaking and spending time with his family.

Travis B. Wilson, MSPAS, PA-C

Travis B. Wilson

Travis brings to us several years of emergency room and urgent care experience evaluating and treating a variety of orthopaedic injuries, emergencies and conditions. He comes to us from Springfield Regional Medical Center emergency department, with prior urgent care experience in Columbus, SC. Travis currently serves as a student preceptor for Wittenberg University, mentoring future healthcare providers.

He obtained his Bachelor's degree in education from Wright State University, his Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the Western University in Los Angeles, California. He is board certified through the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA), and is licensed as a certified Physician Assistant by the State Medical Board of Ohio.

As a Physician Assistant, Travis will focus on orthopaedic conditions and injuries in the office as well as first assist our physicians in surgery. His philosophy is that every patient deserves personalized care, catered to their individual needs by a compassionate healthcare provider. He believes that just as every person is unique, so is every injury.

Travis was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio and currently resides there with his wife Kate. They are expecting their first child soon. He enjoys snow skiing, water sports and spending time with his family.
